Peace to all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Saviour

I am immensly grateful to God Almighty for giving me an opputunity to serve HIS chosen people in the Australian continent. As a worshipping community, we are called and separated by our Lord to represent HIM as HIS image in this world and contiue HIS mission and ministry with responsibility. We the Knanaya Syrian Christians also known as "southists" in malankara, the descendents of the Syrian immigrants are not only confined to Kerala,India, but all over the world. We were instrumental in spreading christianity and imparting faith, tradition and culture not only to the then St.Thomas Christians in South India but also to the many Christian denominations. Being a Knanayit is a previlage and a great responsibility to establish Kingdom of God on this earth, as beacons of righteosness and peace.

As we all know church is not only an organisation or a building but also a faith community in pilgremage towards believing and worshipping Jesus Christ that makes the church a reality. It is indeed a great pleasure for me to introduce the local presence of this pilgrim community of Knanayits formed as a parish , named after the chief Apostle of our Lord and known as St.Peter's Knanaya Syrian Church Melbourne. I am also delighted to welcome you all to the Church website, which is developed to portray the spiritual activities of the parish. As the technological advances had brought nations and people together, I strong belive this website spread information regarding our chruch to the world in our spiritual journey.

My sincere gratitude to all the Parish members who laid their efforts to dedicate this church to the wider community who have faith in Christ the Saviour .
